Here you will find the two main locations on which we are are currently working in Colombia, but we are expanding! Since 2025, we started to work with a Community Garden in Germany.

Where Are Our Projects Located?

Colombia is a very interesting country located in the south upper corner of South America. With sea-cost on both Atlantic and Pacific oceans, it can be divided in six geographical regions with huge differences between them : Amazon region, Andean region, Pacific region, Eastern planes region (Orinoquia), Caribbean region, and the Insular region.

At GUA·QUYE, we are connecting two different ecosystems: The first one is located in the Tropical High-Mountains environments of Colombia (Andean Region) and the second one located in the Easter planes. Furthermore, the fact that our work takes place in one of the Mega-Diverse countries in the world, a hot spot of diversity, makes are work on landscape management, re-forestation, knowledge transfer, open Science, and agricultural management, etc., totally worth it!

Using a Free Open-Source Technology, based on OpenStreetMap, called uMAP, we were able to publish a web map, that holds a high level of interoperability with other application, making it suitable for our future pedagogical purposes on collaborative mapping and social cartography.

Community Garden in Germany

Since 2025, We start to work with a Community Garden in Germany, initially by building their web-site to increase its online visibility. Here you can read more about the Streueobstwiese Damlos-SOW_Damlos
