About Event

This time GUA·QUYE Agroforestal is participating in a 3 days event organized by the _Red Colaborativa de Emprendimiento, with support from Colombia’s Embassy and Consulate in Germany, and the Colombia nos Une program.

Woman coming from diverse Colombian territories speak to the Conference of the Parties on Biodiversity-COP16 sharing their knowledge, experiences, challenges, and needs. This events also aims to connect directly the Colombian Diaspora in Germany with these Woman and see how we can magnify their work.

Some of the Woman organizations participating are:

October 10.2024

Working Group 1

Organization, movilization, and socio-political incidence experiences

(10:00-12:30)

This working group will explore how woman achieved to organize and mobilized themselves to impact public policies and defend their territories.

October 11.2024

Working Group 2

Challenges, risks, and oportunities of environmental activism for woman

(10:00-12:30)

This working group will work on specific challenges faced by woman, including gender violence, criminalization of their work, and threats derived from their ethnic-territorial origins. It will also explore how to mitigate this treats through bi-national support-action networks.

October 12.2024

Working Group 3:

(09:00-15:00)

Economy for life

(09:00-15:00) Economic initiatives with a sustainable and solidarity approach, prioritizing common benefits and environmental protection, seeking possibilities to create a network to market their products and services in Germany. This specific working group will have 3 main topics:

9:00-10:30

Productive initiatives based on collective and local knowledge with a social sustainable approach.

11:00-12:30

Environmental services with gender, territorial, and ethnic approach.

13:00-14:30

Coffee for life. Experiences on coffee production with an Agroforestry approach
