Colombia is a very interesting country located in the south upper corner of south america. With cost on both atlantic and pacific oceans, it can be divided in six geographical regions with huge differences between them : Amazon region, Andean region, Pacific region, Eastern planes region (Orinoquia), Caribbean region, and the Insular region.
At GUA·QUYE, we are connecting two different ecosystems: The first one is located in the Tropical High-Mountains environments of Colombia (Andean Region) and the second one located in the Easter planes. Furthermore, the fact that our work takes place in one of the Mega-Diverse countries in the world, a hot spot of diversity, makes are work on landscape management, re-forestation, knowledge transfer, open Science, and agricultural management, etc., totally worth it!
